2026 Fall In-Person Regional Training Starts Sept. 3

This regional in-person training class is for anyone wanting to serve as a CASA volunteer in Bourbon, Fayette, Garrard, Jessamine, Lincoln, Scott or Woodford counties.

Classes will be held September-October 2026 at the main CASA of Lexington office, 3245 Loch Ness Dr. in Lexington, KY 40517.

In order to participate in this training class, you must submit a volunteer application, submit to background checks, and complete an initial interview.

  • 5:30-8:30 PM Thursday, Sept. 3: Introducing the CASA Volunteer Role

  • 5:30-8:30 PM Thursday, Sept. 10: The Well-Being of the Child

  • 9 AM-4 PM Saturday, Sept. 19: Trauma, Resilience, and Communication Skills; Mental Health, Poverty, and Professional Communication

  • 5:30-8:30 PM Thursday, Sept. 24: Substance Abuse and Cultural Competence

  • 5:30-8:30 PM Thursday, Oct. 1: Domestic Violence and Cultural Competence

  • 9 AM-4 PM Saturday, Oct. 10: Educational Advocacy, Older Youth, and LGBTQ Youth; Working a Case and Court Reporting

  • 5:30-8:30 PM Thursday, Oct. 15: Wrap Up and Volunteer Panel

  • 5:30 PM Thursday, Oct. 29: Graduation
