Ag funds available for CASA kids to attend camp and more

Through a partnership with the Agricultural Commissioner’s Farm to Fork Dinner, CASA of Lexington has a limited amount of funding available for CASA children to attend 4H or FFA Camp.

Based on interest, we will also have funds later in the year for entrance to pumpkin patches and other agro-tourism related events.

If you have any CASA of Lexington-advocated children who would like to participate in any of the camps mentioned above, please email office@casaoflexington.org and provide the name of the child, name of the volunteer and cost requested to attend, as well as who should be paid (we will pay the camps/organizations directly).

Farmers Market Food

Secondly, if funds permit, there may be an opportunity for volunteers’ to deliver farmers market food items to their CASA children’s caretakers. CASA volunteers would pick up a bag of food items from the CASA of Lexington office and deliver it to their CASA children within 1-2 days to ensure quality of the food items.

Based on interest and funding, we will determine a date for pick up and let the interested volunteers know.
