Everything You Need to Know for CASA Joy Tree

It’s time for us to being organizing our holiday gift program for CASA kids! This year, we have a new name: The CASA Joy Tree! This name reflects our belief that every child should find joy in being given gifts, no matter what the occasion is. The program will continue to benefit all the children served by CASA of Lexington.

For those who have participated in previous years, the process and logistics will remain the same. You can download a blank CASA Joy Tree wish list below.

Please follow these guidelines:

  • Include the child’s first name only on the form.

  • Print legibly on the form — we often can’t read what children write on the forms.

  • Complete clothing sizes and/or shoe sizes for each child if requested and indicate if the sizes are toddler, youth, junior or adult.

  • Under “Holiday Wishes,” make sure to include a variety of items across a variety of price ranges. It is fine to list something like a gaming system or bike, but every child also needs to list some smaller items so Joy Tree shoppers have a variety of choices.

  • The more specific a child’s requests can be, the better.

  • Please DO NOT list only gift cards.

If the parent, foster parent or caretaker of your CASA child wishes to “opt out” for the children in their care, that is completely acceptable. There are families who wish to provide for the children themselves and we respect that choice. Please let your Volunteer Manager know that is the choice your family is making so we can cross you off our list!

Once you have completed the form for your child or children, please return the form(s) to your Volunteer Manager no later than Friday, Oct. 24. This will give our staff ample time to organize the forms and create the envelopes that will be placed on the trees at our Joy Tree events. We cannot guarantee that forms returned after Oct. 24 will be accepted.

Details about picking up the gifts for your CASA child or children will be released later.
