Blue Grass Community Foundation, in partnership with its Knight Foundation Donor Advised Charitable Fund is underwriting the participation of 400 community members in a web-based training opportunity provided by the Racial Equity Institute.
This three-hour interactive training, known as the Groundwater approach, will be offered on multiple dates and times to encourage diverse community participation. Groundwater training is ideal for people and organizations who want to proactively understand and address racism, both in their organizations and in the community.
In this webinar, REI organizers use stories and data to present a perspective that racism is fundamentally structural in nature, helping participants understand that we live in a racially structured society, and that is what causes racial inequity.
