It’s time to submit your CASA children’s wish lists for the CASA Joy Tree program. This year, you can provide their information quickly and easily through a secure online form.
The deadline to submit is Oct. 16. Due to the popularity of this program, late submissions will not be accepted. This year, only children assigned to an active CASA volunteer are eligible to participate. Siblings and other children in the family court or foster care systems are ineligible.
What is the CASA Joy Tree?
If you are unfamiliar with this program, the CASA Joy Tree enables community members in each of our seven counties to purchase gifts for CASA children who might otherwise not receive any at Christmas or another December holiday.
CASA volunteers submit their CASA children’s wants and needs, as well as sizes and other information. In early November, Joy Tree kickoffs are held in each county, where members of the public can pick wish lists from the Joy Tree.
Over the next few weeks, Joy Tree participants return the purchased gifts to CASA. Then, in early December, CASA volunteers pick up the gifts for their CASA children from the Fayette or Lincoln CASA office and deliver the gifts to the children’s caretakers.
