CASA Volunteer Manager

CASA of Lexington is hiring a Volunteer Manager. This is a full-time position in the Fayette County office and include benefits and 4.5 weeks of paid time off.

Duties and Responsibilities of Volunteer Manager

1. Share the responsibility of Family DNA Court coverage.

2. Supervise, consult and assist CASAs in the preparation of cases for court and for their provision of ongoing advocacy services.

3. Assure reports prepared by CASA volunteers are reviewed, professionally written, typed, reproduced and delivered (within the prescribed time) to all relevant parties.

4. Assure the maintenance of case files and volunteer reports in database.

5. Enter volunteer, children and court information and statistical information into database.

6. Make a minimum of monthly personal contact with each assigned volunteer, more often as need determined by volunteer, case and/or staff.

7. Ensure that case files are returned and closure forms are completed at the close of each case.

8. Conduct exit interviews with volunteers leaving the program.

9. Assist in matching volunteers with cases.

10. Assist in organizing, facilitating and conducting pre-service and continuing education trainings for volunteers as needed.

11. Assist in volunteer appreciation events.

12. Assist with recruiting new volunteers.

13. Assist with preparation and participation in special events, fundraising and other development activities as needed to represent the program.

14. Ensure that National and Kentucky CASA standards and statutes are met. Volunteer without a full case load will have a prorated schedule to include volunteer recruitment and assisting with administrative tasks and other duties.

15. Any other reasonable duties as assigned.

Qualifications of Volunteer Manager position: Bachelor’s degree. Experience with the child welfare system, court system and/or supervision of volunteers is preferred.

Conditions of Employment: Flexible schedule includes regular office hours and frequent evening and weekend work. Must have daily transportation in order to attend meetings, court, facilitate home visits and represent CASA at other functions.

The orientation period for this position will be worked from the Fayette County office.
