This CEU discusses how we can help relative custodians get the same support as adoptive parents in caring for children who cannot return to parents. The technical requirements are a bit confusing and there are slight differences in what benefits the family receives compared to adoptive families. You can learn how CASA can help make this an effective and helpful outcome for our families, either in your current cases or those you will work in the future.
The training is led by Maurice Lee with CHFS’ Department of Permanency and Protection. He was part of the implementation team for the new Subsidized Permanent Custody regulations that went into effect for our relative and fictive kin placements as of July 1, 2024.
