Jason Wright is one of CASA’s new board members. Read below to learn more about him!
CASA: Tell us about your career!
Jason: I graduated from the University of Kentucky College of Civil Engineering in 2001. I started working for Messer Construction Company immediately as a project engineer. I am currently an Operations Vice President here in Lexington. In 2014, I was named UK’s Young Construction Engineer of the Year.
CASA: Awesome! What about your family?
Jason: I have two kids, ages 19 and 15. My son is a baseball player at Frederick Douglass High School and we enjoy fishing together when he’s not on the baseball field. My daughter is in college at UK and enjoys hanging with her friends — and of course her dad! Ha!
CASA: Why did you choose to become a CASA of Lexington Board Member?
Jason: I’m very passionate about the mission of CASA and helping kids in need.
CASA: Tell us about your hobbies, and give us a fun fact about yourself!
Jason: I love fishing, farming, beekeeping, backpacking and anything outdoors. A fun fact about me is that my favorite snack is a raw potato.
